Every October, the world turns pink, but a campaign only matters if it reaches people. This year, Ostooreh Studio, a visual content production company in Muscat, Oman, produced a series of Pink October breast cancer awareness videos with women’s cancer care specialists, leading doctors, and healthcare brands. Here is how the project came together, and what it taught us about healthcare video production in Oman.
Why Pink October Needs Real Voices
Breast cancer awareness works best when it comes from people audiences trust. Early detection, regular self-examination and timely medical visits are messages women hear often, but they land differently when a doctor or a healthcare professional speaks directly to the camera, in her own words and her own language.
That was the idea behind this campaign: let the people of healthcare speak for themselves. Our job was to give them a calm, professional and warm space to do it, and to make sure their message looked as strong as it sounded.
Three Productions, Three Approaches
As a video production company in Muscat, we believe no two projects should be shot the same way. For this campaign, we produced three different formats: a personal awareness video, a multi-doctor studio production, and a brand-led video for one of our clients.
1. A Personal Awareness Video with Dr. Deni Al Shanfari
We produced a video with Dr. Deni Al Shanfari, built around a simple, powerful reminder: awareness can save lives, and a single conversation can make a difference. The video was shared on her Instagram, carrying her call to make breast health part of everyday conversation.

2. A Multi-Doctor Studio Production in Muscat
For the second production, we hosted a group of doctors at our own office and studio in Muscat and recorded their messages one by one. Each doctor spoke from her own profession and experience, and some shared deeply personal stories that gave the campaign its emotional weight. Their messages shared one thread: illness is a passing chapter, not an identity, and hope keeps the door to tomorrow open.
This production was commissioned by Oman’s Ministry of Health and Roche, and we were honored to be trusted with it.

3. A Brand-Led Awareness Video for Spineline
Pink October is not only for hospitals and health authorities. Health and wellness brands have a role in raising awareness too, and a campaign feels more genuine when it comes from the people who care for patients every day.
For our client Spineline, we produced a video featuring Jazmin, chiropractic assistant, who brought the Pink October message into the brand’s own voice. The shoot was a compact production: a warm, calm set with soft, flattering light, designed so that the person on camera feels comfortable and the message stays at the center.
This is what we mean by a brand-led health awareness video: the same campaign idea, shaped to fit a brand’s identity, audience and tone.

What Makes Healthcare Video Production Different
Producing medical and healthcare content is not the same as producing a commercial. From this project, here is what we would tell any hospital, clinic, pharmaceutical company or health organisation planning an awareness campaign:
- Sensitivity comes first. The people on camera are sharing real experiences. Lighting, framing, pacing and even the studio atmosphere should help them feel safe and respected.
- Accuracy matters. Every message needs to be medically sound, and our workflow leaves room for the speakers to review their own content.
- Language and culture count. Speaking to women in Oman means producing in Arabic, with cultural awareness in how people are presented and what is shown.
- One story, many formats. A single production can become a main video, short social clips, behind-the-scenes content and photography, so the message reaches people on every platform.
- Authenticity beats polish. Audiences connect with honest faces and unscripted warmth more than with heavy production effects.

Looking Ahead
This campaign showed us how far one idea can travel when it is told in the right voice: a doctor speaking directly to her audience, a team of specialists sharing their stories, and a brand speaking to its own community. We look forward to producing more health awareness campaigns across Oman.
